Target Camera System

Hello – I am thinking of developing a target camera system. I know there are several systems already on the market – but what, in your opinion, do these systems lack? What would you like to see? What features are important to you? What's your "dream" system?

Price is the main attraction. I would like resolution to spot holes on black target such as 1000 Yd NRA fclass target. An optical zoom would be nice to allow flexible camera placement. A portable system with ability to run 2-4 hrs for a range session (possibly lipo or li-ion).

Reliable connection at 1000 yards to feed video to smartphone or an option for portable hi-res monitor.

That's all I can think of at the moment.

Wouldn't hurt to leave the hooks in for data collection. I'm thinking windspeed, but optional accessory. Likewise, make the unit rustproof/rain proof. Price, battery life, and the ability to move camera to several locations are the biggies.

A nice feature would be a solar power option to leave the camera set up in remote areas for extended time. Would not have to be video, just snaps to the cell phone.
