I purchased custom built rifle with Nesika action in 338 LM. The action has rail. I bought tapered Barrett X-Rings with 15 and 40 MOA taper. Installed the rings to the manufacturer's recommendations. Set to 15 MOA taper. Installed Leupold Mark 4 LR/T 6.5 x 20 x 50 mm scope. Took the rifle to the range and dialed the elevation all the way down. Shot one hot at 25 yards and shot went high, couple of inches. Then, shot 2 shot at 110 yards (100 meters) and the shots went 18.5 inches (47cm) high. My scope elevation is all the way down. I suspect that the Nesika rail is 20 MOA tapered and I added 15 MOA with the rings.
Any other ideas and solutions then buying another set of expensive rings?
Thanks.
