tall grass in NE Wyoming & Montana

Looking at the US precipitation map reveals Montana got socked this year and it fringed over into the grasslands of Wyoming. My favorite PD ranch in Wyoming has grass so tall you can't see the prairie dogs or where the bullets hit.

Does anyone know how conditions are further South?

Everything east of the Powder River got sufficient rainfall, fairly green. Further south off the end of the Black Hills it is drier, but not by much.

Back west some here in Buffalo and south thru Kaycee and to Casper, the ranchers are doing what they do best (whining) and it is said to be very dry. West and south of Casper it is about the same, until you get back in the mountains.

My antelope hunting areas look more like a beach if that gives you an idea how high the grass is!!!!!!!!! I dont mind though , keeps the goats closer together in even more predictable areas!!!!!!!!!

Its the same around Cheyenne & the CO ranches I soot on.
I don't need to see dust to see where my shots go since ALL MY shots go THWAP......
Calling coyotes in the tall stuff is not easy since they use it to hide until they just pop up in front of you & you go Holy cr*p where I never saw it come in.
All I see when its tall & thick is how much tumble weeds are going to be blowing around when that stuff dries out & the winds bust it loose.
