Looking like your assessment is either spot on or at least not far from the truth. If they've been around on the web since 2008, as they claim, then one would think there'd be a metric butt load of online reviews and google-able data to look at but there's almost none which indicates it's a pretty freshly popped entity. The SSL certificate expires in January and the domain was just renewed or possibly initially registered at Tucows over the summer. the SSL cert is from Let's Encrypt which is a free open source certificate authority. Having your SSL certificate done for free means that there was zero vetting of the entity. If I were to want to open a business on the web I'd at least pay the trivial sum needed to get a certificate from a trusted CA like Verisign/Godaddy/etc... and would definitely pop for an EV certificate if there were to be any kind of e-commerce associated with it. Red flags all over the place, even the FFL throws red flags for me since it's not an 01 but they appear to be doing 01 FFL type business and so would be using the wrong kind of FFL for the kind of operation (not an expert on FFL licenses but new retail sales would indicate to me that you'd need an 01 to do it).

This place is a pure scam. They will cheat you out of money

From my own evaluation, the site is quite nicely put together but one can purchase a ready-to-go ecommerce site real easy and cheaply so that's not even a good basis to judge anything.

On other fronts, anyone selling ammo at those prices and with the selection available right now is a huge red flag for me. I checked the address out on google maps and it looks like a farmhouse out in BFE more than it looks like a pawn shop or even a gun shop.

FFL is evidently (if I'm reading this correctly) an 02 pawnbroker's license which I don't think would be run out of a farm house and which I don't think you're supposed to be doing new retail sales with.

No matter what, it's got my spidey senses tingling pretty hard.

Would you like to split an order ,I can't afford it all......LOL

Wonder what the N.H. BBB or a local gun shop would have too say about them ? Maybe double check with someone in that town, before doing any business with them.

People... wake up.

Nearly every week some member turns up another website that is selling gun related products at 1980-era prices. Oh and they never take MC/Visa/Discover/Amex credit cards, they don't require an FFL, and they're happy to bill you via Zelle and Venmo. Or some weird form of eCash or even Crypto.

They list no physical address, or it is in a residential neighborhood somewhere.

They have unlimited 8-pounders of Varget and H4350, and all the CCI primers you could want.

People... don't be fooled -- use your brains!

Stick to reputable dealers ONLY: Grafs, Powder Valley, Midsouth, Blue Collar etc.

Hodgdon is also offering some direct sales.

You know... rather than even asking of a place is a scam, it's probably easier to just post "Where's a good and reputable place to buy X from?"

You'll get 5-7 unique answers and a metric butt ton of duplicates of those 5-7 unique answers. Really it'd save me and the other computer nerds having to do any basic sleuthing and we could concentrate on posting stupid meaningless memes on arfcom with the time we save.

Totally agree! On another note, has anyone dealt with Gun Shop Store?? Same exact scenerio.
Seem to have everything you need and no limitations but only take Zelle, Bitcoin, or Paypal as payment.
Something sounds way off.

------------------------
Forum Boss: If the entity only takes Zelle, Bitcoin, PayPal etc. there is a 99.99% certainty it is a scam site. Stay away.

How many times does this have to be repeated?
