My TC's have been good shooters (338wm,30tc, 22-250,223,204R). The plastic stocks on the Venture benefits from having the forend stiffened. The magazines typically hold only 2 rounds. A McCarbo spring is good improvement(10.00), their video makes it easy. Been awhile but I have received emails about TC for sale. I haven't asked any gunsmith about barrel replacement.

I have a TC Venture chambered in 30-06 that I won in a drawing a few years ago. I had planned on selling if for a profit, since I only had about $120 in shipping and FFL transfer fees. After checking it out, I decided to mount a scope and shoot it a little. After that, I decided to just keep it. I think it would have been a good buy at full retail price.
The several guys I know that had or have them were very happy with them. One of the better rifles in the price range the first few years they were out. Unfortunately After they started to become a little popular tc raised invoice prices enough many dealers stopped carrying them, but that os nothing to do with the quality its a cost vs profit for dealers

Those TC Ventures will absolutely shoot!
TCArms guarantees 1 MOA for the first three shots. And it delivers that specifically. Don't know if it shoots 1 MOA for 100 continuous rounds. In 2021, I got a TC Compass II in .308 W. The bolt was a little stiff but putting on gun grease and working the action solved that. Dragged a snake through a few times. In the meantime, I put on a Falcon Strike hydraulic recoil pad and an ASR brake. Vortex Diamondback Tactical 6-24X50 FFP on top (let the hate begin.)
Finally had time to get to a range, outdoor. Pulled it out of the case and started with Hornady 150gr SST (which has never worked well in any of my rifles but other Hornady ammo does.) Looking for a group before zero. First two shots out of that barrel I measured .5 inches.
Did a ballistic-x on it and found that it was actually .54 inches (.51 MOA.) Which is perfect for what is a hunting rifle. Factory polymer stock kind of flexes but it does have aluminum pillar bedding.
Later, I would change to an Oryx chassis and a different recoil pad and found that it did well with Armscor 168 gr HPBT. The only problem, and I think it is from inferior brass, is that sometimes, it can get stuck and I would have to love tap the bolt handle.
So, I found that Federal Fusion 165 gr did just as well and doesn't bind.
Now, to expect the next objection, yes, the barrel is 5R button rifled. The thought is that when it is non-cut, material is not removed, simply moved out of the way. And when the barrel heats up, the material could flex. The way around that is to stress relieve by heating the barrels in an oven.
TLDR; absolutely affordable hunting rifle. Jury still out on how it lasts for longer strings of fire.
I wonder if we could a challenge of how wide the group gets on larger groups, ala the Hornady episodes of your groups are too small.

Well, I picked it up ($347 and change), mounted one of my Burris Blk.Dia. 8-32s (that still works) in NF rings and headed to the range Friday morning. After attempting to get zeroed (groups were 4 3/16" left of poa. with the scope maxed on windage) groups were in 7/8"- 1-1/2" with 115 Speer HPs, Remington 9 1/2 s and 56 grs. of IMR 4350 .The trigger has a LOT of creep and 3 1/2# of pull (definitely needs some help). I'll put the scope in a set of Burris Sig.Z rings and try it again next Friday with a few different bullet weights.

Not the bullet, powder, or primer I would recommend to anyone handholding for a Rem 280.
Berger 140gr with RL16 or H4350 with federal or CCI primer will most likely produce the best results

I have pretty much everything from 90grs to 160gr partitons. The 115s were just from an old box that I was trying to use up that were used in a 7BR . I've already loaded tests with 140s and 162s.
