SOLD T/C Encore -460 S&W- MGM Custom Lots Of Extras

I have decided to part with my last hunting hand canon. This has been spot on for over a decade, and fired very little, just over 180 shots fired thru it since built new.

The action is Custom tuned by Steve Stratton Customs, of Hurricane UT., father of the MGM Machine owners, his sons. It is around a 2.5# trigger pull crisp as an icicle with over travele screw installed, and uses Cecil Epps locker pin and includes the Pachmyer furniture w/recoil tamer grip. Sling is included.

The barrel is a Shillen Select Match .452" full Bull 14" with a Ross brake that is threaded, and pinned! It tames recoil beyond belief, and at 69 years old I can still shoot it of a bag one handed comfortably. I had it pinned last year because I wanted to use it in a rifle stock, and in my state, the brake has to pinned to be legally considered over 16", and it 16 1/4" I believe is legal as a rifle in any state.

The 2x7x32 posi-lock Burris pistol scope with Balistic- Plex reticle has held zero since it went on. Last year it looked darker than normal, and was sent back to Burris where it got a new glass, and a perfect stamp of approval. Optically new!

I have 60 pieces of once fired factory Hornady brass, and 50 once fired Starline Brass as well as 18- Hornady 200 grain FTX bullets. This is my main load @ 2574 fps. it shoots under 1" for 5 shots at 100 yards, and right around 1 3/4" for 200 yards when I do my part at the bench.
$1500.00 FTF in the MI. OH. In. Tri-state Area, with paper work on the buyer. or shipping is on the buyer my ffl to yours.

Hello, am I correct in thinking this will shoot 454 and 45 colt as well?
Yes that is correct. It will shoot all three, but I have never used it for anything but 460, and only the 240 grain XTP Mag, and the extremely heavier jacketed 200 grain FTX. With 1/2 grain less H110 than Hornady loads in there factory round, I simply found it more accurate.

Thanks for the response very interesting pistol/rifle! Would make a nice Maine bear gun!!!

This gun has the finest components available, you can't build one with all these extras for near what I'm offering it for. Most dependable deer gun I've owned.

I have tried for 2 days to reach MGM and no answer. But according to what they list, they don't even offer the Select Match anymore, or the the 6 screw scope base for the full length Bull Barrel, let alone the oversize screw for the six hole base?

Just noticed I wrote XTP on that target? Old age brain gas, those were shot with the heavy jacketed FTX NOT A XTP!

It's Easter, hope everyone knows where they are going, and can be thankfull for it because of this day!

So let's find a place for this extreme hunting setup today. I'd like to know where it's going,, ;)

I am going to add to this sale a set of RCBS Deluxe die set, another 50 rounds of new unfired Starline Brass to go with the once fired cases already offered, and one new box of 50 Hornaday FTX bullets.

All you need is powder and primers and your ready to go! This is almost $200.00 worth of extras.
