Systems for Keeping Brass from Falling Off Bench?

Lkwebb

I've seen some shooters with metal or plastic things c-clamped to a bench. I know they use it to keep their brass from landing on the ground.

Hints on where I could find one.
Or could I just use a piece of aluminum flashing and bend it .
Thanks in advance

Larry, what I have is just a piece of plexiglass heated and bent at an angle at the base. Home Depot or Hobby Lobby should have something that will work.

At our range, we shoot off of horseshoe or U shaped benches, and brass can hit the ground without something to deflect it down onto the bench.

Ok ill go there and see what I can find

KISS- A simple towel rolled up will work as well as anything and it's multi-functional.
I have found the problem with clamping things to the bench top is you encounter many types of bench top construction which you must accommodate for varying thickness- I shoot Hunter Class which requires clamping a spotting scope to the top. A real PITA when you have multiple relays and have to remove then re-attach between matches.

BR ppl use long wood clamps with a towel spread across the end sticking up.
AR shooters have nets.
Google brass catchers

cat/dog carrier bed in whatever size suits you. $10-$15 and if it doesn't work out wash it and your pet will love it. lol

or for those that need a calming pink in their life (don't really think that works, but hey whatever floats a person's boat)
