I thought I should pass on my experience with SWFA. I recently acquired a used 5-22x50 HD non illuminated SWFA scope. I noticed it had something on the interior of the glass that appeared to be very small droplets of liquid, they didn't affect the function and the scope was crystal clear but it just bugged me knowing they were there. I have no idea what they were, I missed it when I traded for scope and the previous owner failed to mention it.
I used it and then decided to sell it and listed it at very reasonable price, I was honest and described what I saw. Nobody showed interest so I thought I would send it in. I called SWFA and Wendy answered. She asked if I had the receipt. I explained I bought the scope used and did not have any receipts. She was nice and told me she would send an email with instructions to use to send the scope back. The emailed showed up 5 minutes later and I sent the scope in that afternoon. That was July 15th.
I received an email from SWFA last Thursday that the scope was being sent back with a tracking number. I picked it up today, brought it home and opened to see what they did. They sent me a brand new scope, new box, paperwork, factory fresh new. The old scope had some wear marks on the caps and objectives lens, around the rim, it was used, they sent me a new one.
In short. I sent in a used scope with an issue, no receipt. I was treated very nice, above and beyond. I was sent an email with return instructions. In two weeks I was notified the scope was ready to be sent back with a tracking number. I was given a brand new scope. Actions always speak louder than words. SWFA deserves the pat on the back I'm giving them, it was a painless, first rate experience. When suppliers do what they say they will they deserve the recognition. Thanks again SWFA, love your products and now I love your service!
