Swedish 6.5x55, 4381SC

Fellows. I came across a pound of 4831SC and would like to know if its too slow to use with 120gn bullets in a Swedish m96.

My go to load is 140gn bullets with 4350 but I purchased a box of 120gn Amax bullets.

Perhaps I should try the 120gn bullets with 4350.

I'll be shooting 200 to 600 yards.

Yeah I know a pretty vague question.

thanks

You can use 4831 with 120s (as well as 4350). Work up from about 45 grains of 4831, betting you will land somewhere around 48 gr.. 4350 may give you better velocity but I have no experience with it in this application. Check the Hodgdon Load Data web site.
