Suppressor covers

I'm currently using a Cole-Tac cover that works great for shielding heat but tends to slide forward under recoil. Is anyone using a cover that stays in place well under magnum recoil? If so please share the brand.

These look good!

I got these from https://www.reddit.com/user/SWaller89/ on reddit. The cord helps make sure the cover doesn't creep away. He builds them to order with quick turnaround time (both of mine were ~3 days). You can choose different colors and patterns for the main cover, straps, edging and velcro. I also like how he offers a nomex option for something around $35 if I remember right. Price wise he's very competitive compared to most others especially given how custom they are.

I have a TAB Gear SASR suppressor cover and it migrates forward as well under recoil. It's similar in construction to the Cole-Tac but uses paracord like fasteners instead of the bigger straps.

Never came back around to messing with covers.

Thanks for the replies, gives me some options to look at.
I will highly recommend the Tab Gear SAS3. I have owned a couple of these for many years and they work perfectly. More so, they have been HOT a lot and still look as new and still do the job they were made to do.
The SAS3 has a recoil ridge to keep it from living forward but can easily slide toward off to the rear to allow the can to cool if you like.
THEY ARE CUSTOM MADE so make sure you have the correct measurements for your suppressor when you order.

Sold all my previous ones and went with these, they are fantastic!

Update, I ordered Weka Tech Silicone Stealth Cover, they are made in New Zealand. Got here in no more than a week and a half max. Very Fast from overseas. Thin compared to my Cole-Tac. Has to be cut to length but installed easily and definitely doesn't migrate under recoil. It might be 1/4 in thick at max and looks very good installed. I shoot all short mag calibers hunting which create a lot of can heat. I checked my 300 WSM for any POI shift and ran about 12 rounds thru it at different yardages. At 5-6 rounds that can is cooking, at 12 rounds the cover was hot but not so much as to keep me from taking it off. My Cole-Tac would have been cold. I think it will work great for me as I'm not planning on any 20+ round strings. Something like a Creedmoor, I doubt there would have been hardly any heat. Inexpensive at $40 shipped and was enough material to do 2 cans.

Asbestos would be a great material for this. Sadly like beryrillium abuse of a good thing has ruined it for us all. LOL

What is the purpose of these wraps? I have been running a suppressor for years naked I guess you would say. I see guys at the range with them all the time but I have never felt like a needed one. Seems to me like it would be a variable on harmonics that I wouldn't want with slippage and movement.

Ever shoot any distance with a hot can or even in hot weather? I know that in the SC heat, just a suppressor in the sun will start to give a mirage. When that happens, it's much more difficult to see a target.

Personally, I run some cheap Temu or Ali covers. They do the job just fine and I have not cooked one yet. Slippage is minor, but for $7.19, I'll gladly allow a little sliding around.

(And, having said all that, I'm really considering one of the silicone covers now...)

I live in Southeast AZ, daytime highs are still well above 100 degrees for me right now. I know heat, and have never had excessive mirage that I have noticed. Maybe I am just used to seeing mirage when everything is already boiling all the time.

Whether it be ignorance or immunity -- count yourself blessed. ;)
