a Suppressor? I have noticed on several pics and videos of people that are using a suppressor that they have some kind of fabric with cordage wrapped over the suppressor.

I first thought the covers were used to look "tactical". Or, to keep from burning your hands.
Once I saw how much heat mirage comes from the suppressor, I understood.
Now all my centerfire suppressors have a cover. (Cole TAC is the brand I use).

TAB Gear makes the covers I use. Heat waves kill a good group. It also allows you to grab the suppressor while its hot.

I put a layer of carbon felt under my cover, blocks the heat very well for range use.

Thanks for letting me know that. I have one I bought years ago with my first suppressor. I never used it because I don't shoot enough to deal with heat. I may slip in on now.

I like to save money. Today I was looking at the Cole-TAC suppressor covers. They are pretty pricey, but lo and behold - they have used suppressor covers for sale in the $32.50 to $47.00 range. Most don't have the color listed, but some do.
