SuperTrickler v2 vs AutoTrickler v4: up-to-date opinion?

Long-time lurker here. I'm trying to decide which one of these to buy. I know that there have been a lot of threads on this subjects on various fora already, but the dialogue has kinda died off in the last couple years. When SuperTrickler first came out in 2022, the prevailing sentiment seemed to be "ST all the way!" But the more recent comments, where I could find them, are much more ambivalent. I saw a poster on Reddit saying that all of his friends sold their SuperTricklers. And indeed there have been a lot of SuperTricklers for sale on this site.

So, in 2025, what is the better product among these two? Thanks.

They both are great products. They operate very differently. If you want to plug and play, get the V4. If you are into computer programming and have the time to learn, the ST has advantages and would be my choice.

I wanted a product that I could tell it how much powder to dispense and it would do it without all kinds of programming. The V4 was this one. I had ordered both at the same time and wound up selling the Supertrickler as it required too much effort and inputting trying to get a simple powder throw. The Supertrickler is really great, you just have to be patient and work with it a bit.

Thanks for the feedback. Once you figure out a setting with the supertrickler, is it plug and play from that point onward, or were you required to fiddle with it in every session?

Neither. Ingenuity Precision full setup. Its leaps and bounds above both the 2 mentioned, I sold those and have 2 A&D Fx/IP trickler and draft shield and IP electronics and a V3 thrower.. everything but IP thrower are available to purchase right now. Thrower should be available here soon, can use a $30, Lee manual thrower for now to drop your bulk charge until the IP dumper releases in the next month or two

This is a video I made before I got the new IP draft shield and mount... its faster than both ST and V4 and accuracy is dead on every time.

For me, I prefer the momentary pause feature of the V4. If it experiences a bench vibration, it will pause then continue when stable to the selected powder weight.
The Supertricker, will completely stop upon a vibration. You will have to dump the halted powder in the tray and start over.

I looked on IP's website. It allows me to preorder but there's no price. How much is the whole rig (without the scale)?

EDIT: never mind. $995 for the full set.

I have a V3 & a ST
V3 is my carry to match thing-
I use the ST on everything else hear at the house- from 20-221AI, 221FB, 6BR,20BRAI, 6.5PRC, 6BRAI, 6ppc
All have presets of different powders, bullet wts, primers of all the above.. close to 70+ loads- all preprogrammed in-
I just select the cartridge, bullet wt, primer used for a certain cartridge, prime the tubes and roll -

Now I had to put each pre set in for each cartridge, it took some time to do it, so far I like it. The AI helps a lot, and you can fine tune things to your liking..,

I am 100% satisfied with my V4. It is fast (enough), accurate (within .02 grain ~96%), easy to setup and use, and for the 2+ years I have had it now, utterly reliable. Full disclosure, I've no experience with the ST or the Ingenuity system. The new IP system does indeed look to be a pretty slick powder dispenser, when it is finally released. I doubt that it offers me enough to make the switch.
