Gents, I got the use of a Supertrickler, I have read the online manual and watched F-Class Johns Video and I am having problems. I followed the instructions to set up to have the machine learn a "new" cartridge. I get to the dispense menu and hit auto, which turns on the blue light than I hit start, this takes me to the vibration screen which I don't know what to do with? See photos. Accually, I don't think it dispenses in normal mode.

Thx, I will look, I have got the course tube to work but the fine vibration is not dropping any. The Percentage counts up but nothing with the tube is happening.

I love my ST, but this is not a plug and play tool like a chargemaster. Read all the set up information and follow all the instructions for the software version you are using. nearly all issues I have seen with the product have been related to not reading the instructions. If you think this is going to be a plug and play item, go to something else. If you are someone who likes to tinker, and are not afraid of the unknown, proceed.

I read the instructions a couple of times, still not sure I was picking up what they were putting down as their step by steps seem to casual vs explicit. I went to the Website and the FAQ had two questions? WTH? The Web has very limited trouble shooting. I thought of this as a very expensive tool that was a time saver, so far NOT. For instance, I have been setting up a new profile using Reloader 23 in the AI learning mode, I have 20 attempts with a 33% success rate, with an average time of 77 seconds. Thats 1/3 that I had to discard with a wasted 15 minutes at least? I need help right? LOL (So UPDATE IS) I got the tubes to work properly, however, now I cannot get the AI to learn a new profile? See Per above.

Machine gets down to the last tenth and craps all over the place! at least 5 up to 8 tenths over. I never got to 10 consecutive throws to satisfy the AI. Yes some one please drop me a hint? or Clue!! LOL

Without knowing what powder you are using,the software version installed, your settings, etc. it is hard to advise you of an answer. This is a great system but it is not for the timid. As I mentioned before, if you expect this to be a plug and play miracle machine, you are going to be disappointed.
Not knowing what powder you are using creates a huge issue in trying to help you. I might suggest that if you are using a powder with a heavier single kernel weight that you start by resetting your profiles and moving your settings to allow a larger differential. say +/- .04. If the weight of a single kernel of powder is above the variance you have set the AI will never work and your frustration will only continue. You need to understand the systems strengths along with its limitations. Learn to understand machine learning and you will be fine. If you do you will begin to know how to use it to your advantage, if not you will continue to struggle unless you get some detailed help. I love mine, but it may not be the machine for you.

Here is a shot in the dark for you. I originally set this up to dump N133 but it seems to work well when I select other powders like H4198 or LT-30. With the granule profiles being so different I am surprised how well it works with just a minor tweak here or there.

Just a few minutes ago I was consistently dropping 35.0 grains of LT-30 in about 6 seconds with very few overthrows.

Hope this helps you or anyone else for that matter.

? did you "prime" the tubes after you dumped the powder in ?

Thx Everyone for the help, Rset, I am having issues with Reloader 23. After a lot of frustration and research I have come to the conclusion that + or - .02 is not realistic. I have not updated to the latest firmware so I will give that a shot. Others have explained the 100 spead between Max and Min. But alas being so close to the Nationals, I will probably load the old fashion way and shelf this until after Nats and try Jimmymacs procedure.

Here are details of the profile I’m running for LT-30. I did some slight modifications. I’ve included software version, the preset profile screen, vibrator speeds, bulk profile, fine profile and pulse profile.

These settings are working outstanding for my unit and software version. I have purposely not upgraded my software because this version works great for me. I’ve read too much about software updates making these units behave badly, so I’m not going to risk it at this point.

Please note that the above profile settings have also worked well with minor tweaks with the other powders I previously listed. Also note with this profile I’m willing to accept a +/- tolerance of .06 grains which is an acceptable variation for the shooting I do. Basically at my 35.00 grain setpoint, I’m willing to accept charges from 34.94 to 35.06. For the work I do this is fine. I’m not splitting atoms over here. I can’t shoot the difference. I may adjust that setting later to see if the unit continues to dispense quickly with a tighter tolerance but it’s not much of a concern for me.

As mentioned previously, these powder dispensers work fine but it takes some reading and a willingness to spend time to get what you want out of it. For some it is maximum speed, for others the speed is secondary and a repeatable exact powder drop is more important. If you are the type of person looking for the simplicity of a Chargemaster in a higher end unit, I’d look elsewhere. For me, this thing has been the best piece of reloading gear I’ve bought in a long time. YMMV. Hope this helps
