Just got my super trickle in the mail, and it will not communicate with my scale. Anybody have any tips or tricks or experience the same problem?


I’m mad enough to smash this thing and order a V4. I have the worst luck with defective products.

For starters, tell us about your scale. Which specific model and is it new or used?

Back up and tell us if you did any programming on the scale or downloaded any updates for the ST?

Dumb question but A) is it an A&D FX120/300 B) did you go to the setup page in the manual and reset your scale and reprogram it because you may have programmed for another brand of scale previously.

Follow the steps in the 3.0 manual. Somewhat tedious but they work.

And then, go to fclass John’s video on using the AI. Thereafter, look at Bart’s video on this site. I did these things and was able to get up and going after my first and second bouts were a failure.

Using it to throw N130 right now and consistently gets a 35+gr charge under 6 seconds. Pretty impressive.

If you are mad, count to 10
If you are really mad, count to 100.

Follow the instructions and it will work. You have to be patient, very patient.

Don’t feel bad. I had problems getting started and had decided to sell it. Concluded I could at least count to ten and decided to give it another try. All is well and like it at least as much as my V4 now.

Did you get or see much damage?

It will do great. You may have to play with it, tweak it here & there, most of all be patient.

For me, 10sec per round with 80 to 85% is plenty fast. By the time I seat bullet get the round in an ammo box, the cup is ready.

Storm surge and 20+ inches of rain in 24 hours had several counties along the west coast of Florida scrambling. I’ve lived here my whole life (manatee county) and we had water in areas that I thought was impossible.
Lots of people in the area lost vehicles and personal property. Lots of flood damage along the coast.

Lots of people are up in arms about what the county has done to ruin all the natural drainage systems by allowing 100’s of thousands of homes and developments.

I think the proof is in the pudding.

Sarasota is a beautiful place with those fine white sand beaches. I spent lots of time working near there when I was young. One of the few places we made and cut Beryllium parts was near there.

Sometimes factory reset can be your friend.

Lots of us run ST with FX120i just ask as you need help. Maybe before your blood pressure is up. Between us we've probably seen most anything you might encounter. It can be a learning curve.

I would suggest practicing with old powder or some you care less about than your good stuff. There's little nuances with it and once you figure them out it's much easier going.

I made an error during the scale programming sequence.

It’s up and running and doing well. Still learning all the fine details.
