Superformance powder. Anyone using it in 6 x47 lapua
I do agreee with the wildcat proposition but Hodgdon has data for it using their powders. They decided Superformance is not a good choice for the cartridge and the part of my original post above, in red, is straight from their own description of the properties of Superformance. The 6-6.5x47 Lapua is still a wildcat proposition. Neither group, CIP or SAAMI have entertained requests for standardization of the specification. So it stands to reason, given the litigious world we live in, that the manufacturers have withheld developmental data until it does get recognition.

If you will look down their list of cartridges they provide data for you can CLEARLY see they list it as 6x47MMLAPUA.They (Hodgdon) lists a 6x47 cartridge but I'm pretty sure it's the 6mm on the .222 Magnum case based on the volume of powders described in their list. They call out the 6-222 and the 6x45 (.223 case) then list 6x47 with no call out but the loads are very near what they would be with the .222 magnum case.
I do know the difference between the two versions.
Maybe they have found, like i have, that superformance doesnt work well in any case so they dont spend much effort on it
That was the case i bought it for originallyI tried it in my 6mm Rem and got very poor accuracy. I now have a couple pounds of it gathering dust. Yuk!!!
