Superformance loads for 7mm-08?

Has anyone worked up 7mm-08 loads with SUPERFORMANCE ? It seem like it should work good.
I shoot 140s to 168s in it and have used slower powder. It is listed for 243 win, 260 rem, and
30-06. On the burn rate it is right next to H4831 and I have used it but not much. But I have
Not seen data for it in the 7mm-08, any ideas?

Best factory ammo I ever shot in my custom Kimber 7/08 was Superformance 139 GMX. Figured I could duplicate this with the superformance powder. Took a factory round apart and got the specs ( oal grain charge, etc) but never got close. Tried it with other bullets I had on hand but did not get good results.

Hornady superformance 120gmx shoot dime sized groups in my Remington mountain rifle, also in my 700 classic 7-08.

Do you know what the factory load was? I loaded up 3 rounds with 42 gr, 43 gr, 44gr, 45 gr, and 45.5 gr each.
Will shoot these monday in an old shilen dga barrel on a 700 long action that I shortened the magazine on.

Most cartridge manufacturers do not use shelf powder it may me similar but not usually the exact match

You are most certainly right but the Hogdon site leads one to believe it is the same powder used in the factory ammo. Maybe different lot but the same. I never started at 48.5 grs but somewhere around 44 grs and worked up to no avail. JME

Hornady Super Performance line of ammo doesn't necessarily mean they are using Hodgdon Super Performance powder.

In the 7mm-08, using powder with a burn rate near 4831 would be best suited for bullet weights in the 150-160gr range.

Yeh, but at least Hornady’s burn chart puts it in a burn speed close to win 760.

I shot 5 loads with 140 gr bullets 42, 43, 44, 45, 45.5 gr. Three shot groups. The best I got was
.8". No high pressure. R22 with 160s gave me a hair under half inch. I am going to try 160 or 168
gr. with the Superformance I am out of R22. If that does not work it should work for the 243 win.
