Sunrise in Texas

I knew I could not be the only one who appreciates a beautiful sunrise.

I took this standing on the end of the drydock at Vessel Repair in Port Arthur. The water is The Sabine River.
But alas, Sol does have to sleep. The second picture is a sunset at Seymour this year at The Texas State Unlimited

Simple answer: My wife. She likes her flowers and her friends back east. I have tried to grow flowers for her down here but it’s too hot and dry.

All of those problems can be solved, green house with fans, we grow lots of flowers here in FL and its hot here too. telephone. Go back to hell and load all your wood working tools and head for Texas. Live the rest of your days and enjoy them. Got a piece of walnut that is almost an A5 Mc Millan that I cannot get time to finish. My brother and I rented mom and dads house in N GA and the renters trashed it. been 4 trips up and its getting close to done.

She’s 80% blind. Macular degeneration is a terrible disease. My role these days is as her “seeing eye husband”. Our little joke. She “loses” everything. I seek and find, along with all the other household duties she can’t manage anymore.
It is what it is. They’re working on a cure using stem cells.

Yea i am facing the same thing, mine wants to work till shes 70. I have 10 acres in a very rural spot in north Florida and I need to be building something to keep my tools in, and maybe to live in also. I had no idea she had vision problems.

Hi Nick! I have 3 spare bedrooms. You are always welcome to come and stay. Don’t even need to bring guns. You can shoot mine. You might not want to leave, tho. It’s pretty nice down here.
On the drive down, the wifey asked me if there was room to put in a shooting range on the property. She had forgotten that she shot the idea down two years ago. I have a new project! Woohoo!
