Success & failure with the 6 XC, hunting deer.

Put some effort in to try and capture most moments one can expect on a Highland stalk after red deer.

In this film I show both success (mind set on the hunt) and failure (mind set on the camera). The margins can be as small as mental presence from the hunter.

The most common problem I see for inexperienced stalkers is that they wildly overdress and basically dehydrate due sweat.

Yeah, from the right cartridge they do fantastic.
I tried Sierra 85gr HP from a 6mm-223 many years ago, I wanted a light rifle so rebarreled a Sako Vixen. It produced a lot of running deer and complicated tracking despite good hits.

With 105gr moving appr 200 fps faster I'm finding the 6mm wonderful.
