Stupid question, need verification..

I i have too much time to think and im trying to figure out if i can take one of my defiance devient *repeater* barreled actions and make a "switch stock" with a single shot stock like a MBR..

Can a floor plate be installed into/on a stock like an MBR where, its fixed in place, and i can use the barreled action on my tactical stock, then switch it onto a bench stock for bench shooting?

Or does the floor plate have to be glued/tacked into place on the action..

Theoretically being able to take my rifle actions i have and use em for a heavy bench gun too... get more barrels made, get bolts to switch out... basically end up being able to configure one actione with a bolt, barrel, and stock, how i want for the day of shooting instead of building a whole rifle for each caliber, each application..

I bet you can. I haven't done it, but a man with motivation and tools can do just about anything. Think about NASA.

I don`t see why you could`t affix a single shot follower to your action, without permanently attaching it, and then bed it to the stock.

I think it can be done to... just dont know how.. i cant see how it WOULDNT work...

even if the single shot follower was loose and could fall out if the bolt was open... as long as the bolt closes and it lines up a round it shoots... follower dont have nothing to do with accuracy laying under the bolt..

Im thinking tac weld a pillar to the bottom of the follower, drill a hole for the pillar in the stock and glue in that pillar with marin tex or devcon.. then bed the action in place where the action could be taken off the stock, but the follower is on for good..

It can be done for sure. Ive been doing it fot years. Just get a single shot follower and when you get the action bedded bed it with the follower in the action. Most followers will fit in the action cutout and stay in there but just need a lil pressure to remove. Its easy done.
