I have pro on my Iphone and my phone is asking me update IOS to 16.6
which with all that’s going on between Apple and Strelok will updating zap the app

16.6 fixed security issues actively being exploited. Skipping it just for Strelok is pretty foolish. Figure out the replacement and start moving to it.

Correct, I have also turned off automatic updates for the Strelok app itself

Strelok recommended just before he got axed by the US government, to go to settings, app store, scroll to the bottom and turn off "offload unused apps" This will keep your iPhone from deleting the app.
I have updated every time one comes out and have had no trouble.
And turn off automatic updates as mentioned by Ajwilly96.

Slightly different...but I recently got a new phone (android) and my Strelok Pro downloaded (complete with all existing firearms and information) as part of the "set-up" process. Loaded wirelessly right from my old phone without having to do anything out of the ordinary. No data loss. I've even had several security updates without issue.

Slightly different...but I recently got a new phone (android) and my Strelok Pro downloaded (complete with all existing firearms and information) as part of the "set-up" process. Loaded wirelessly right from my old phone without having to do anything out of the ordinary. No data loss. I've even had several security updates without issue.

Once the sanctions hit i ported my app to memory card within my phone so the android system doesn't see it as an unused app taking up space. No issues for me. Other than Igor won't add a dot reticle smaller than 1 moa, lol!

Just upgraded my phone. The app/data transfer process refuses to move Strelok or strelok pro. Guess I'll try the Hornady app. Although, it is calculating consistently 1-4 MOA higher on all calibers at distances from 500 to 1000 yards. More deviation at longer distances.

Mine (StrelokPro Pro) has been around 1/2 -1 moa different than Shooter. I like StrelokPro Pro and sure wish Igor could update it. He was always updating it and most apps don’t. I have IOS 16.6 and I went on my phone and IPad when Igor said to turn off all updates. Haven’t lost it yet.

If you have a Samsung phone, Strelok is still in the Samsug store as far as I know, that was "the fix" for Android anyway.

Moving from an older Samsung to a Pixel 7. Not in the google app store so it refused to load. I could copy the directories over to the new phone but I've heard of problems with that.

In your case it would be best to just keep your old phone for Strelok use only. It doesn't need actual phone service to work. Updates are suspended anyway so you would just have a phone dedicated to Strelok use.
