The June UBR match at Strategic Edge was contested yesterday, June 23rd. There were seventeen rifles competing in all four classes. I did not compete as I had a wedding to attend in the afternoon and was sure the match would run too long. Turned out I was correct and after helping Jr Rigsby with scoring and adding the scores into the computer I left before the 200 was finished. It was a close thing in Custom and Modified right down to the last target. Tim Harber took Modified, Mike Neville, who has much improved his 200 yard shooting, won the GA in Custom and Larry Moore won Unlimited. Mike had the best GA with a 506 while Mike & Larry won theirs with 505s. Richard Alford won Factory shooting his Cooper for the first time. All these scores were surprising due to some very switchy and gusting winds. It seems that as the season moves on the scores are improving in spite of the conditions. This is a tough bunch.
