Stock?

Hey guys i have a trued rem 700 with a Bartlein 5C Barrel, I am about to order a rifle basix or jewell trigger for it but my question is should i put in a mcmillan A5 or an aics or should i consider another stock. This is going to be used for F T/R, if you asked me last week i was leaning towards the aics but now im really liking the A5 and thinking it is worth the extra cost for the bottom metal and bedding. help please

I have several of the Bell & Carlson Medalist Tactical stocks, got them from"Shooters Discount", within 2 weeks of ordering. Price is fair & am very pleased with them. I use them off the bench but they are designed & intended for prone F Class.

rware91,

First and foremost think WEIGHT, you are limited to 18.18 lbs. or 8.25 kgs. which ever you perfer, that includes everything that will be on the rifle "as shot".....bi pod, scope, barrel mirage shield, levels.....it adds up quick so keep it in mind.

NRA High Power Rules are here: http://www.nrahq.org/compete/RuleBooks/HPR/hpr-index.pdf

I ran a Bell & Carlson on a.308 Win. F/TR Rifle, they are on the heavy side, could only have a Varmint weight barrel and a Harris pi bod. I switched to an H.S. for my .223 Rem. build and hav a 28" 1.250" Krieger tube on it, still using a Harris with Pod Paws.

rware91,
Take a look at Gary Elesios tube guns.
