Stock shape ?

I’m prepping a Shehane STBR laminated wood stock for a savage action. My question is in the 3” front end.
the fore end actually measuring 2.830” and gradually gets wider to a width of 2.960”.

my question is do I leave the taper in it on mill it square. I was going to inlet / railroad the bottom a bit.

Straight or it wont have consistent bag pressure
