Stock removal Savage 110 Timberline

Scope weighs 18oz. + base and rings. I guess I'll keep the original stock.

I have a High Country with the Accustock and another 110 in 6 ARC that came with the Accufit stock. I put that action in a heavy chassis which was my original plan.

Accufit: pillar bedded, seemed stiffer than the Ruger plastic stock. tye ability to customize fit was very nice. But, I would have been very concerned about the barrel staying free floated if I loaded it up on a bipod. If you want to try one, they are available dirt cheap on Ebay.

Accustock: very similar to the accufit nut with an aluminum mini chassis built into it. It definitely locks the action in. Stiff enough to stay free floated with my heavy scope and bipod. I didn't weight either stock, but it is definitely heavier.

Other Options: I couldn't find weight numbers for the Hogue and Magpul stocks, but they would probably be similar to the Accustock since they are similar designs.

Stocky's stock website has a lot of options including wood stocks. They would be a good resource.
