stock questions

I have this bell carson stock under my 6br rig..But I can not keep a consistent hold on it...(bench shooting) due to back injury...Anyway,I am thinking it maye be my problem, due to being too large for my fat ass......Been thinking about a thinking about a thumb hole stock....Also it has a bull barrel...sort of wish i had stayed with the varmint barrel...anyway..whats your thoughts on those thumb hole stocks..

Seeing you have a heavy barrel i would look for a long stock. If the barrel is long or heavy the gun needs a longer stock to track. Maybe look into a Shehane Tracker or Tooley MBR. A stock with a flat 3 inch or wider forearm makes them a lot more accurate to shoot. You can get wood or fiberglass in most of them. Matt

Did my first thumbhole for a friend and told him he was nuts for using it, but I changed my mind after using it for a while. It took a little getting used to, but now I use them on most all my stocks....
