Stock Duplicator Narrative & Photos

Thanks to photobucket I have to reload some photos for the duplicator narrative. I have a good photo back up system so I did not really lose anything due to photobucket's antics, just some time.

Oh yea:

Nice! I have some 3 1/2" thick Eastern Cherry slabs that have been air drying for 40 years if you're up for a trade.;):):):):):) I'm working off my pile of Walnut that was cut in the 70's.

My father and I cut down the trees and took it to the guy that ran a mill and a junk yard across the holler from our farm. 1973 or 75? The vacuum cleaner was my mothers. She gave it to me when I bought my first house. It's an Electrolux. It still works fine. I can't throw it out. Too many memories attached to it.

It's a classic. I wouldn't throw it out either. I remember when kitchen appliances were avocado green.

My parent's house had green Formica counter tops in the 70's.

The bad news: Accurateshooter forum will not let me post the big Duplicator narrative. Getting errors: "Spam like content". "Awaiting Moderator Approval". So I gave up.

The good news: I have the narrative posted over on the African Hunting Forum.

Here is the link, provided AccurateShooter allows links:

Anyway, there is a lot of info in the thread, especially for the new duplicator owners.

I just pulled out mom's early Kirby Upright. More metal in the thing than a B29. Almost lost my "Persian" rug to it...tried to suck it up. Sounds like an F4 at take-off, swells the "bag" (non HEPA thank you) like a bagpipe, and sucks up small children, shoes, socks, leftovers and the cat, if I had one. I will not get rid of it for any plastic bowling ball sucking piece of poop.

And I don't have to bend over to drag it about, nor do I feel bad that some parts are now held together with duct tape due to dry-rot. God bless American 1950's manufacturing.
