Stiller Tac 30 Firing Pin and spring

Is anyone familiar with these actions? Mine came with a fluted firing pin and 22lb spring.

I would like a standard pin and a heavier spring. Stiller says they are not standard remington parts. They sure measure out like they are.

Does anyone know off hand if I can replace the pin/spring with standard remington parts?

Yeah... The pin is 66 thou and the opening is 70.

At one time PT&G made the bolts.

Pretty sure you can get that from PTG,. Tooley is right PTG made the bolts originally, probably still do.

I'm interested in an OEM replacement for a TAC-30. Mine, too has the fluted pin journal where the spring rides. I called Stiller and they couldn't help. Sent me to PTG. Called PTG, spoke with a nice guy that was going to call me right back after talking to the "right person". Well..

I’m changing the spring because it has about 3,000 rounds on it. It’s good practice/ cheap insurance. Plus I just fixed the pin fall, so it makes sense to me to do it now. I’m not changing the firing pin.
