Stiller Predator and Leupold Mark 4 bases

I attempted to install my Leupold Mark 4 bases onto my LH Stiller Predator short action receiver and the screw holes in the rear base do not line up with the action. The front base holes line up with the action. I compared the same rear base with a Remington LH short action and they appear to fit. Were the holes in my action drilled improperly or does the Stiller Predator action require some other brand of bases?

The Stiller, as well as many other custom actions, use the same hole spacing for the front and the rear scope bases. You can use 2 front bases.

Thanks for the information. I had also sent an email to Stiller I received a response from them too. They informed me that the rear of a Stiller receiver is not stepped down as the Remington 700 receivers, so the elevated rear base could not be used. Also the rear receiver is drilled to accept a front base. Thanks again, Randy
