I know there are a couple fellas here that have one of the new stiller p-1000 actions, and i need to ask you a couple questions. I have one on hold at stiller but they do not have any mounts for it in stock. The men are at or on there way to the shot show and the only person there at stillers to talk to, is the nice lady that answers the phone. she said she didnt know anything about them. She said a regular predator mount would work. I dont think it will. This p-1000 action is a big 1.550" action. Does anyone know were i can get a one piece scope ring set, or a 20 moa mount for this action. I dont want to buy this action if i can not get any mounts for it in a reasonable timely matter. If you have one please let me know how your set up. The lady said they have some 20 moa rails for the long actions but not the short action that i am wanting. Thanks Lee

what are your first thoughts on the P-1000? Is it big and heavy? How does the bolt feel? I hope its a good action for my 6BR build. I am going with a 1.250 straight Krieger 8 twist. I also ordered a Mcmillan MBR from Bruno. I hope it makes weight. I bet it will be darn close. I will probably have to go with a weaver 36X. I will also have to add a bunch of weight to the stock, so i have a feeling this will end up being a heavy gun. I actually bought everything to make a prairie dog rifle, so if its doesnt make weight its no big deal. I will just shoot it in heavy class. I wanted to see my hits and misses while shooting prairie dogs this spring. I am also going to buy another barrel and do a 20BR. This rifle will feel like a 22LR with the little 20cal bullets. Should be a joy to shoot. Like i said i hope they are good actions. Al i need now is a scope mount!!! Lee

you'll like ! IT'S BIG HEAVY Should be a great match with a 1.250 barrel and MBR stock......who's inletting it for ya ?
bolt feels good but it's hard to tell with out a trigger in it.

Tom Meridith (sp) does all my stock work. Tom of TM stockworks does wonderfull work! Anyone else here have a P-1000? Thanks Lee

seekins precision even sent me a 20 moa base to use until my 40 moa base was done. give them a call, their products are first rate.

I just wish stiller would make me one. it would be just as good and about half the price! Anyone else using a p-1000? I would really enjoy looking at some pics of your rifle and hearing your opinions. thanks Lee

Well i finally got my P-1000 from stiller's. the boys even made me a scope rail 20MOA. I think this action is going to be great. It is BIG thats for sure. I was very impressed, I really was! It is now on the way to MR beanland house to get the barrel chambered. I can wait to shoot this beast. I am going with a 6BR so it should be a real joy to shoot! Thanks for all the info above i appreciate that! Lee

If they didnt make an extra they will make you one. It only took them half a day or less. I called monday morning and the action shipped with the new rail that afternoon. Cant beat that for service!! Now if they could get some of there other benchrest action in stock life would really be good!! Lee
