Stiller Actions?

Anyone have a word to say about these actions? They are reasonably priced, but I was wondering if that equated to a lack of quality? Just curious.

As far as their Remington clones go, I have friends who have rifles based on them and they are quite happy with the results. If you are talking about benchrest actions, it could be a long time before they resume significant production, due to the demand for the clones keeping them busy. I shoot a Viper, and I am quite happy with the quality.

I agree with Boyd. I shoot a Shilen DGV which is based on a Stiller action. I'm a happy camper with this thing. Sub 1/3 MOA at 100 yards (6BR - 1x8 twist) and I just got a load figured out (it DOES NOT LIKE 87 gn V-maxes- prefers 80 gn Berger FBs and is not powder sensitive with them - 8208, 322, Varget, BLC-2).

I have a Stiller Predator on my 6 BR. I really like it. I ordered a .22 LR action but the lead time was too long so I cancelled and went with a Hall. The fit and finish of the Stiller actions are quite good. I don't think you can go wrong with one.

My 6BR is a Stiller Viper SS Drop Port. They don't get much better. I also own three BAT 3-lugs, a Pierce, two Bordens, a Farley Black Widow, two Savage PTA and numerous Remingtons. The Stiller is as good as any of the custom actions.

I'm happy with my Diamondback but I don't believe it quite as smooth as my Panda or Hall. I also own a Kodiak which the smoothest action I own or have ever shoot.

Have the TAC 300, built a 280 AI. Very happy with the action. If it just weren't so much fun installing a PTG bolt and truing up a 700 Remington.

You can add another happy customer with a RBLP drop port Diamondback 6br. The bolt could be a little tighter but not lacking in any other way.

I have built rifles on 3 Predators and my Grandson's Diamondback drop port. I lapped the bolt on the drop port as I do on all my rifles. The Diamondback is noticeably smoother than my other BR actions.

I have a Shilen DGR made by Stiller with shilen barrel HV, 30BR, shoots under 1/4 moa at 200, great action, I can switch barrels and stocks either way by the nut like a savage or having the them shouldered, and Remington stuff is easy to get, even the single shot plate that fits on the bottom of a Rem 700 fits the same in my Shilen
