Stiller 2500X vs Copperhead

What are the differences? Looking to build and F-Class rimfire that will closely mimic my f open rifle. Is there anyone who has a preference?

Thanks,
Dan :)

copperhead is improved 40X action
2500X was built to compete against Turbo and Falcon
No doubt in my mind, I would get a 2500X of those two choices. Doesnt have the large barrel shank needed of the Copperhead.

Stiller makes great stuff! I would look at Killough Sports page, he carries all the major actions. I use a 10X action for smallbore prone, it is a hammer!

I agree with this, I've shot a Copperhead and a couple 2500Xs in ARA rimfire benchrest competition and BOTH could (and can) turn out hammers but between the two I like the 2500X more. Go with the Copperhead if you want a closer companion to a Remington 40X clone rifle but the 2500X is just plain awesome.

I had a beautiful rifle built on the Copperhead action and like it very much, yet I have no experience with the other action. I find that it is a bit difficult for me to consistently place the ammunition in place into the loading port in just the proper position so when the bolt is closed, the ammo always loads without bumping the nose of the bullet - or jambing into the front of the chamber opening. Surely, part of that is because I am, and shoot, left handed and when loading, I cannot see inside the port. Regardless, one does not want to have to look into the port when loading. It is easy to eject a suspected marred bullet - but is a minor distraction and interrupts my strings sometimes. I'd like to see the other action and try one. I'd strongly suggest that if you can find one of either to try - do so before laying down the dough.
