Stiller 2500X bore guide

Is there anyone making a full length bore guide for a Stiller 2500X action? All I can find are short ones that stop at the loading tray and the Lowery bore guides in Australia!

Thanks in advance

You might try Possum Hollow. Their Swindlehurst guide (Sinclair) has worked in my 2500X for the past few years.

Why do you dislike the short ones? They work great and a brush doesn't get stuck when you pull it back through the chamber end and want to push it in again. I like the short ones so much I made one for my X3L. At some point I'll make one for all my other rifles. If you think full-length is necessary to get proper alignment with the bore that's simply not true

That is exactly what you want. They are that way so you can see the rod and keep it centered while going down the bore.
Guys that bitch about solvent issues don’t realize it can migrate even if guide butts against breach plus usually slop too much in the first place.
One piece, no bueno, two piece with snug insert for less rod flex.

I want a long one........personal preference!

Redd,

If I ever manage to get a 2500X action (or access to one) I'll make a few. You'll be the first to know.

I'll have a couple of 2500X rod guides available in about two weeks.

There were a couple of statements made here regarding full length rod guides that I would like to address.

I have always pulled the rod/patch/ brush out of the receiver to put on a new patch and blow off the brush. I don't remember getting one stuck. As far as applying solvent, I would personally prefer to put a few drops on a patch before it enters the guide than using an oiler in my loading port

If you have to look at rod entering the chamber to make sure it is centered in the bore, then you don't have much faith in your rod guide.

Also when using a .20 or .22 rod in a properly made full length guide body (for 2500X and some others), less than half of the bottom of the guide body is removed so a .22 rod is trapped all the way to the breech face, and a .20 rod has only a bit more space.

Personal preferences I guess.

Clearly, you have not been paying attention.
ZERO people have been concerned with centered rod entering the bore.
As a rod moves through the bore is can and will bear on the side of the bore, unable to be seen by a full guide.
The shortened ones allow users to keep “steering” it reasonably well centered throughout it’s travel.
Jerry Stiller has post about this more than once.
You think, maybe, why the guy that made the actions and guides did them this way? Why, before then, some of the best smiths cut them down?
Do whatever you like but you’re providing answers the the wrong questions
