Still confused on Russian small rifle primers

Fellows,

I use Russian small rifle primers for my F TR loads (Lapua Palma cases).
The last box of primers was marked KVB-223 with a green priming compound and copper colored cup.
New box, according the seller, is marked SR .223Rem, with a red priming compound and brass colored cup.

Are they same small rifle primers or any difference?

Thanks

Marksman63,
Check Wolfs website. The primers you have now MAY be for use in the semi-auto rifles like the AR-15 and have a harder cup because of that style of rifle has a floating firing pin to prevent possible slam fires on chambering of a new round.

It seems the Wolf Ammo web site is not working.
However I know Russian primers could be branded Wolf, Tula, PMC or Murom according the market. Here in Italy they are Murom branded.

Here is the Tula:
KVB223 SMALL RIFLE Standard Rifle 4.43 500 10
KVB556M SMALL RIFLE MAGNUM 5.56 NATO 4.43 500 10
KBV223M SMALL RIFLE MAGNUM Magnum Rifle 4.43 500 10

Here is the Murom:
Small Rifle KVB-223 4,43 For Standard Rifle loads
Small Rifle Magnum KVÐ’-5,56M 4,43 For 5,56 NATO cartridges
Small Rifle Magnum KVB-223M 4,43 For Magnum Rifle loads

Still confused...

FWIW I have used the .223 version and 5.56 version interchangeably with no difference that I can see or measure. The 5.56 has a thicker cup (by a few thousands). No idea if the Magnums are hotter or not. For those of us using .308s with small primer pockets and large sized firing pins the 5.56 primers tend not to blank (pierce) as much if at all. That being said Gre Tan Rifles has my bolt for bushing as we speak.
They all work great. I, for one, have yet to have any misfires using either LR or SR Tula/Wolf primers after no less than 3000 rounds in my Palma rifle to date.

No misfire as well in my hot Palma cases loads.
I compared the in use Murom KVB-223 with Federal 205M and found an improvement in both ES/SD and accuracy.
According some Google searches the new Murom SR .223Rem should have a thicker cup with same flashing power, but not sure at all.

Waiting for further feedbacks

Used both KVB 223 (Tula and Wolf) and KVB 5.56M's (Tula). Same results for accuracy and chrony readings. 223 has a softer cup and you will get an occasional piercing with an AR if you use them in that type rifle.
