I hope these videos can be of use to anyone contemplating these rifles.
I have used the Steyr SSG08 in 338LM a little now and the rifle certainly was built for function and not looks. My only gripe with the rifle so far is that there's a lot of metal. I would really have liked to see materials with better thermal properties at the contact points between shooter/rifle. I especially like the modular pistolgrip (many grips are too small for me) and if I understand correctly it is compatible with AR15 pistolgrips. I will certainly look for something warmer.
