Great match put on by Tom Jacobs and crew! This was the inaugural match after the great flood of 2019, which decimated the majority of the range! In a few short months Tommy (I’m sure with a lot of help from his friends) had the range back up, running and looking better then ever! You can’t keep a Missouri boy down!

Bart

Bart was gracious enough to invite me down to his place in Kentucky to work on my tune and equipment about a month ago. We spent a solid day and a half and came to the conclusion that there was some play in my Farley top and maybe something out of whack in my Nightforce 12-42. The top went off to Alan Wofford for a total rebuild....the NF went in for a service check-up. Alan's work is incredible; his tensioners are a piece of art. He said there isn't a .001" of play in the top now.

I can't thank Bart enough for inviting me down and spending the time with me. We shot from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm the first day and until about 11:00 am the second morning. Not many would do that for a competitor. Bart's a class act.

Tommy has done wonders in rebuilding his range. It's better now than it ever was. Conditions there are most always challenging......wind and mirage. Pretty much like St. Louis is, but without every windflag pointing in a different direction. Vapor Trail put on another splendid weekend of matches, as they always do.

Thanks again to Bart for helping me sort out the issues with my rifle and equipment.

Bart,

You just set the standard for how to post results.

The title is clear, the picture (essential) is credited and explained, the results are all there to be viewed and your commentary makes it all worthwhile. Steve Wilson is the man but you are a man among men for both your shooting and reporting.

Superb job all. Hope many learned from your skills.
