Steiner scope for hunting

Looking for General Hunting scope for a .25-.06 Remington. While I would like a bright scope, I'd rather stick with a 50mm objective thinking a quality optic should suffice. Max power of 16 should be fine as this round doesn't have energy to shoot at deer size game beyond 500 yards IMHO.

I have investigated the Steiner H4Xi series, 3-12x56 or 4-16x56. I was also looking at the GS3 series.
Anyone have comments on the H4Xi or GS3 series scopes?

I do own a Steiner model P4Xi, item #5202, 1-4x24mm Tactical Rifle Scope. It is a GREAT optic and a bargin for what I paid for it (<$ 500.00). I love it for a CBQ rifle application.

I just recently purchased a GS3 and really like it. Looking into tree shadows I was really surprised how well things stand out. Mind you, I have yet to put the crosshairs on big game in the shadows but, I'm pretty sure it will be fine. I was also pleased with the fact that when I made an adjustment, the scope responded on the very next shot. I had become accustomed to making an adjustment and then shooting maybe 2 times before POI moved. I got the 4x20x50. It should be perfect for the 280AI it sits on. I don't know which bullets you are shooting but, with a 110 or 115 gr bullet any deer on this planet will probably drop when hit even at 600 yds.
