Static Charge devices ?

So I'm not exactly what I'd be looking for so figured I'd better ask the smart folk on here

I'm looking for something that would allow me to push a static Charge though an object ...or statically charge it maybe?

Basically to get powder coat to stick on cast lead bullets you have to tumble them in a plastic container for a while to generate enough static so the power will stick till you bake them. Usually it's just a time thing but I figured there had to be something out there that would allow you to basically make an item have more of a static Charge, I guess would be the term.

Ideally I'd like something I could use on one of my old vibratory tumblers . I already use them to powder coat so why not ?

Anyhow as I said not sure what id really be looking for honestly or even if this is just a stupid idea due to the science behind it ,at but lots of smart folks on here so figured someone might have some ideas.

saw some where plastic pellets to help with coating, cold dry mornings plastic tumbler bowls real get a charge LOL

I've read several times over the years that when autos are painted at the factory, they charge the body with a negative charge and the paint with a positive (or maybe the other way) and when the paint comes out of the gun it is sticking to the body and finding all the hidden places and coating them. i have no idea how this could be applied to coating bullets, but I can see that it would help if you can get it figured out

The part being coated has to have a charge opposite to what the paint has. Like ebb said above, opposites attract

Have you tried rapidly rubbing a balloon against a wool sweater, then touching the tumbler ?

It's said a #5 plastic bowl must be used. Worked well for me this far and I've not tried any other. I did throw some crafting beads in also.

What brand powder are you using? I was unable to get HF powder to coat very good, Switched to eastwood and now they coat in the vibrating tumbler fine. Nothing in the tumbler other than powder and buckshot. I dont coat cast boolits
