Bob, I have had good luck starting at 24gr and working up to 25gr or so with Varget. I usually find a low node that works good for screwing around at 100 yards and a higher node that works much better at 300 yards.

If you start out maybe 2 grains below whats on the chart you should be OK. Work up in .2 gr increments and watch for signs of pressure. Don't try to get max fps, go for small round groups.
