Starting F-TR build

I should get my refund from Leupold this week and will be looking for a Action for my F-TR 308. I have B&C Medalist 5 stock for Rem 700 short action, I am looking at Stiller Predator P1000 and Barnard S actions. The trigger will be CG X-Treme mod 22. Scope my NF Comp, Barrel a heavy Plama ? I know the stock is not the best for F-TR but I am working on a aluminium or delrin bag rail.

CG X-treme on it way and order a Krieger Barrel - 30 Caliber - 1-10 Twist - #14 Heavy Palma - @ 31" - 1.250 x .900 - 5R - 300 Bore - from Bruno Shooters Supply. I will be ordering the action next week.

Bill,
Are you still planning to use the B&C stock? If so, I think you need to go with the 1.35. Don't know how much material you can take out of that stock. also, if you're trying to stay under weight you need the lighter one. With a heavy palma barrel, you'll be fine.

If you like stiller actions you might consider the diamondback which is designed for target work.

I have a 30" 1.25" straight taper hung off a Remington action with no problems.

Pick up my astion on the 26 thanks to Calif law >:( this action is long and I will have to take out about 3/8 of a inch on the front side of the recoil lug slot to get it to fit.

;D My action is in looks like I will be cut and trimming on my stock to get it to fit. Then off Monday to the gunsmith to get the barrel threaded chambered and crowned

Been working on stock and will have to send triger back to get the Safety removed

>:( broke one of the golden rules do not make changes too your rifle the night before a match. I did not have a chance to rezero my rifle and was luck to hit the mountain behind the targets. I did not even try to shoot the match I felt so :o :P :-[ :-\ All I did was replace the firing pin spring with the new David Tubs CS springs DUO firing pin spring set. I re zeroed today at 100 yards and I started out being 7 inches to the left and 2 hiches high. Next weekend I will try the 300 yard again. ::)

I could not get out to my 300 yard range raining which we need but I went in doors and did some fine tuning on loads I had be using 43.5 gn of IMR 4320 today I found out by dropping just .1 gn to 43.4 I shoot my tightest three shoot group yet.
