Star shooter bipod

I just got a Star Shooter bipod and was wondering what people were using for a rear bag with this bipod.

I am currently using this bag on the bench and was wondering if it would work for f/tr or will it be too high.

Here is the pic of the rifle.

What do you all think or suggest?

Thanks

The bipod minimum height is 4.5", add another 2" for stock and barrel. That bag looks to have the top about 5-6" where the stock rides and there's probably 3-4" to the barrel centerline.

Worst case, you might need to raise the front end by narrowing the bipod ski width.

When I first got mine I was using one of the smaller Protektor bags with the double bottom, but no handle. When I switched to an Edgewood I found that the rifle tracked much better, and it refelcted in my scores. The bag you've shown looks like it would be pretty similar to the Edgewood in size, weight, and overall configuration so I'd be surprised if it didn't work for you. Certainly I'd be inclined to try it out before going out and getting anything else.

Cheers,

Scott

Well here is a couple of pics with the bipod and rear bag . As you can see I tried the bipod at two different positions on the stock.

Tell me what you think .

i would suggest to move the bipod position in the rail between 5 group of 4 rounds and see how it worked. You can move 1 in at the time and for sure, you will find a spot where it belong, whatever it is a SS or something else.
