Stamping or engraving tools for barrel

Am looking at how to stamp or engrave a barrel (caliber, twist, neck diam.,) and what tools are recommended for a hobby level 'gunsmith'. Any thoughts you might wish to share with me would be appreciated.

Google New Hermes engraver. Most trophy shops have gone to laser engraving machines...and several have a New Hermes around collecting dust.
They work great for barrel marking.

Thanks Mike,

Checked out the engraver you mentionned.
I think that before committing to buying tools, a visit to the local trophy shop will help me to decide whether to just have it done instead of buying the tools (and then learning how to use them) :)
Thanks again for the help.

I have been thinking about this as well as I have a new krieger bbl coming. How about etching the bbl like knife makers do? pretty inexpensive item it seems....
