SS media for cleaning/polishing brass?

I've seen a few posts and don't know beans about this media or method.

Where do you buy it?

Can you put it in a vibratory (large Dillon) system? Or tumbler only?

What size do you get? One size fits all?

Can you mix it with the walnut, cob etc? Advisable? Maybe keep the wgt down if using in a vibe?

You can buy the SS media from Sinclairs, no you cannot use a vib tumbler, no you can't mix it with any other media, SS media is used in a rotary tumbler, with water, dish soap, and a hard water spot remover for dishwashers.

Ok here's the deal, I don't like SS media for precision rifle brass, the carbon inside fired case necks is a good thing, the carbon aids in consistent bullet release, and the necks get peened over pretty bad, on my blasting ammo(pistol and AR15) and with range brass I pick up SS media cleans the brass like nothing else, and I have tried ultrasonic.

I use Thumlers Tumbler and SS media. You have to use a heavy duty tumbler that will hold water. I have not had a problem with peening. Nothing comes close for cleaning. It cleans primer pockets as well as in inside of the cases.
I think they are located in Washington State.

SS media comes in several diameters and lengths, certain sizes work better for different calibers etc.

There is several pages about this SS media on here, but the search dog here doesn't hunt for me. :'(

I use 10#'s of media/Thumblers Mod B and this really cuts the cleaning time to about an hour.

Another good place is bigdawgtumblers.net . Bruce makes larger tumblers and also sells media...It's very good and service is awesome. Tumblers are tough as nails too.
