SS Jags

I realize that you probably have your reasons for wanting a SS jag, but I have to ask.

Why would you want to run the risk of putting a piece of metal that could cause damage to the chamber/throat, rifling or crown into the bore of your barrel???

Hi Chuck:

I'm also not sure why you would want SS jags, but of course that is your business. If you are looking to stop the reaction from brass jags to cleaning chemicals, you might be interested in checking out the new Tipton jags.

Tipton has come out with "Ultra Jags" which have a patented nickel plating to keep them from turning patches green/blue so you can tell if the copper is in the barrel or off the jag.

From the Midway website: "Bore solvents can react to your cleaning jag as they remove copper fouling, but the Ultra Jag's patented protective process shields it from bore solvents for a long life and improved cleaning."

Looks like a neat idea.

I used SS jags that George Kelby and some others have made for me for many years. Ya got to know what size patch patch to use and how to use it. I am running low on jags. Just wanted to give one of our vendors the bucks.

Thanks for the info.

Chuck
