Squeeze Bag vs. Rabbitt Ear Rear Rest For Bench?

Going to be shooting a F Class skipod front bipod rest with my Model 12 LRPV in .223. Probably 12-13 lbs all up. Only have experience with a squeeze bag and like the ability to make minor elevation corrections that they allow. My goal is to shoot free recoil or very light hold. Thanks for any input, suggestions.

You can also make minor adjustments forward and back for elevation changes depending on stock design.

I would pass on the squeeze bag for F-Class. I quickly learned its better to let the bag support the rifle rather than you squeezing it; you'll get fatigued waiting on conditions.

While I`m not going to be competing in F Class, I`m hoping to incorporate some of their equipment( skipod, whatever might be a better rear rest ) and techniques ( free recoil or just about ) to help improve my accuracy at 500+ yards at the range.

Let me phrase it differently, what advantage do you anticipate a rear squeeze bag will extrapolate from using it in conjunction with a ski pod?

It won't track nearly as well. It requires you to apply input with your musculoskeletal system, and it will be inconsistent from shot to shot.

If you simply want to use a squeeze bag to use a squeeze bag, knock yourself out. However, you've gone to the trouble of purchasing specialized equipment with the stated goal of improving accuracy (precision).

A rabbit-ear rear bag wide enough for your stock is going to be the only option to accomplish your stated goal.
