squaring reticle with bore

What is the best way to square the scope reticle with the bore for long range target? Also, plan to mount a level so shots won't be canted.
Thanks

Midway USA has the Level-Level-Level device that works by inserting a level into the loding port of your action and a level that you put on your scope so they both show the same level point.

Or, you can mount the rifle on a table and level it. then hang a weight on a string and rotate the scope crosshair to be vertically in line with the string.

Do it at the range. Hang a plumb bob at 100 yds and carefully level the action on the bench then adjust the scope as needed. Confirm the scope tracking while your at it by running the erector up and down and see that it remains square to the line. I've spent hours with levels and lasers in the garage only to find that it wasn't perfect at distance. (My theory on that is perhaps the short distance method is more affected by paralax error.)

Similar to gunnyart's method. But if there is any wind at all blowing a weighted string will not remain vertical and for those times I will have a carpenters level with me & verify that the wood target frame, both horizontal & vertical 4 x 4's, are true. If not then I make sure when I staple the larger than normal sight-in sheet of target paper, that the edges are a true horizontal & vertical, using the carpenters level. The same level is used to verify that the benchtop is level and a small bubble level is used on the front rest.
