I’m looking for some opinions. I am looking to rebarrel an ar I have with a 7 twist 18 inch barrel. I’m replacing a 16” barrel. Wanting a rifle length 18 spr profile. Just looking for something that shoot accurate. I have a 20“ white oak 8 twist for service rifle. Shoots good just thinking about something different. Im Thinking of a cle chambered 7 twist vs a wylde chambered 7 twist white oak. Thanks ahead of time.

If you aren't planning on shooting heavies, maybe go to a 9 tw. I do not know your volume plans but a less vigorous rotation will extend throat land life. The fps gain is negligible.

Thanks for the replies. Kinda wandering if there is difference between cle and wylde chamber. My next will be 7 twist. im up in the air between cle and wylde. My white oak shoots good just wandering if there was additional benefit from other chambers or manufactures.

I believe the biggest difference is the CLE has a bit shorter freebore on the CLE
That said the wylde really likes 69 and 77 smk and 75 BTHP’s.
I run a older Rainier UM SPR barrel,1-8 and it’s shoots really well and a lot of fun out to 1000 and occasionally a bit beyond.

A rifle gas 18” with rifle or A5 buffer and rifle spring is really smooth shooting.

Your white oak in all likelihood is a wylde chamber, I'd get another. The compass lake chamber works good but is different enough that you may have to load differently for each rifle. A 1/7 or 1/8 twist will be just fine. Get the white oak 18" predator barrel. It's probably in stock.
