Spotting Scope

I am looking for spotting scope, just for handgun shooting. I don't need a high $ scope, just something out to 200yds. I am looking at a Alpen, any info ? What do you use?

Mark, I suggest you look at the Celestron Regal series. HD glass at great price. I have the Regal 65mm model, I think 10-42x. I know of 4-5 shooters that have em, I looked thru em before I bought mine. Great value.

For handgun shooting, you might try just using a digital camera (with flip-out screen) on a short tripod. Set the zoom to 15-20X and you should be able to see target and bullet holes just fine.

Along with showing the target, you can record your practice sessions.

Of course, with this solution you end up with a device that is WAY more versatile than a simple spotting scope.
