Spotting Scope

For a budget, Konus makes a good spotting scope. You'll see a lot of them on the across-the-course highpower competition line. If you have the money, however, the Kowa scopes are crystal clear and reasonably priced for high-quality optics. Barska and Tasco are cheap, but they're also not the highest quality, so clarity suffers, which some try to make up for with high magnification, but that doesn't solve the problem). Good luck.

for the price kohnus is a very good scope very clear from edge to edge. I don't think you can beat it for less than $400. they are priced around $200______treeman

Out of the Kohnus, which one is the better one? 100mm or the 80mm. both are 20-60 power. Will they resolve a 6mm hole at 500 yards?

Not may I would think can see a 6 mm hole at that range. I used a Konus scope this week at the HBR nationals in MO and will be replacing it. It is fine for 1 and 200 but at 300 not so good. They are a decent scope for the money, don't get me wrong. I have the 80MM.

I looked through a Swarovski,Luepold,Cellestron and could not see any better then an,old) Swift. Could barley see 30 cal holes at 500yds. No luck with 6mm holes
