spotting scope

New guy here. Looking for a spotting scope that won't break the bank. I know the Swaro's and Lieca's are good, but I don't have the $$$ for one of those. The one I own won't let me see 30 cal bullet holes much beyond 200-250. What do you guys reccommend? Thanks

Kowa spotters are a good deal, although they aren't cheap. For target use, the TSN-661 wuth 25x LER/WA eyepiece is a great way to go. It's smaller, lighter and less expensive than it's 82 mm cousins, but the optical quality is every bit as good. Kowa is one of the few who offer a true long eye relief eyepiece,25 mm) which makes them much easier to use with glasses. If you have a bit more cash in your pocket, the TSN-663 uses ED optics to eliminate the small amount of chromatic abberation in the standard optics. The best deals ae available from Jim Owens at www.jarheadtop.com. If you're using it for game hunting, birding, etc. you may want to go for the TSN-821 for the additional light gathering.

The Burris Signature Spotting scope is a good one, shy away from the other Burris spotting scopes.....
