Gear Buggy is what you seek.
Wayne makes the best stands in the game. They aren't cheap, but they're as good as it gets. If you ever have a problem, his cell number is engraved in the legs.
Check out gear buggy. Wayne is A SUPER good guy!I'm looking for a heavy duty spotting scope stand for a Celestton 100 ED.
It weighs 5# so I need something that will handle the weight.
Any suggestions or expierience would be greatly appreciated.

Actually I was looking at these and they appear to be what I was looking for.I have two of these and youll never find anything better. Super rigid and the fluid drive head is super silky smooth. No need to loosen a knob or lever to readjust, the tension in the fluid head let's you pan so nice and smooth its amazing.
A fella that shoots with us has one of the pole stands and in a slight breeze it quivers and if you're spotting at a long range match it's not nearly as stable as a three legged model.

That's what I have also. Good choice.Actually I was looking at these and they appear to be what I was looking for.
I only shoot short range score. My issues with the standard tripod version is how much space it takes up on the line and the effort it takes to get the scope close to the ground for prone shooting. If these are not issues for you then save some $$.
